Press release: AIAMO reaches new heights - Innovation boost for AI-powered mobility management in Europe

With the successful conclusion of its 7th steering committee and the visionary 3rd AIAMOcamp, the AIAMO research initiative, funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, has passed crucial milestones. The project consortium under the leadership of ITS Germany e.V. is setting new benchmarks for scalable, AI-powered mobility management across Europe.

A major milestone is the implementation of the AIAMOnexus, which combines the AIAMO Integration Zone and AI Foundation Models – a technological basis that incorporates curated regional data sources from the whole of Europe, creates data of excellent quality – a vital ingredient, in fact, for high-performance AI-powered mobility applications. This is complemented by editionAIAMO, a development framework for the ITS industry that enables direct access to this data – for efficient and sustainable mobility solutions.

The launch of AIAMOitip marks AIAMO’s start in the Innovation Transfer (it) phase and Implementation Pathway (ip) preparation. The aim is to transfer research results into market-ready products and establish them on the market in the long term.

Another focus is on European cooperation: a new governance structure and cooperation with ERTICO-ITS Europe will strengthen the close networking of research, industry and the public sector.

AIAMO thus provides central building blocks for the sustainable transformation of mobility in Europe.
